Nakalongo Christian School – Building Programs

Tuweereza Eden Ministries started a primary school in the poor village of Nakalongo in the late 2013. It has been established to provide quality Christian academic education to children in the community where there was no hope for them to get education. It is located in Nakalongo village just 400 meters from the shores of Lake Kyoga in the rural Buyende District- Eastern Uganda, and it is 120 Kilometres of which it is 2 hours’ drive from central Jinja City of Uganda.

The area is extremely rural poor and parents / Guardians cannot afford to send them to another distant walks to attend schooling and this denies the children opportunity of getting education for their future. To get started is simply beyond the financial means of the local people but the admiration and their determination with desire to educate their Children.  From small beginnings the school now sees up to 700 students as it draws children from both the villages surrounding the school and from the wider Buyende District.  The school started operating under trees and grass thatched shades with no any hope of support but with prayers as the foundation for providence (Matthew 7:7). God has enabled us to get Funding support for the building completion of the above three (3) classroom block equipped with school furniture.  We are seeking for financial support to have four (4) classes, office and staff room built to have a full primary school. The teaching aid materials are needed so as the children gets the desired education they are yearning and questing to have for their future life time.

Why should the School project be supported?

We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and a crucial component to our mission. The school is the only chance for the children to provide a basic primary education. The school project is located in rural Buyende District where it is even evident that the situation is worrying and there is a great need for the project to be supported.  The national examinations for primary leaving education (PLE), High secondary school(UCE), and Advanced high secondly school (UACE) records indicates that Buyende District is ever the worst performing district in Uganda as far as academic performance is concerned.

Request:  We are building a Child Minding Christian school in a very poor area of Nakalongo, Uganda- East Africa. The labour force and food is there by the community but materials will cost us $10,000 to build a classroom equipped with school furniture.  Could you PLEASE ask your church, Organisation or yourself to see if you would like to give to this worthy venture by investing in these little Children’s lives?  Your generous donation of Funds towards the building of (4) classrooms, Office, and staffroom and your sacrificial giving as you may be guided by the Holy Spirit shall be rewarded (Psalms 112:9).
